This winter break, Rachel Oaks, a really good friend of mine came and visited. So we took her to see a couple of shrines that are near our house and part of the Shikoku Pilgrimage. We went in the evening, and the weather was nice.
The first shrine we went to had a New Years decoration at the front gate. Many of these decorations had an orange attatched to them.
Finally! Because Rachel was around, we were able to get a picture of us together!
The second shrine we went to overlooked the Itano area. The sky is often hazy with silhouettes of the mountains off in the distance.
Thanks so much for sharing this fun trip! I love seeing you kids having fun - you look great! What awesome buildings - we don't have those in our neighborhood.
